The Settings tab lets you control the basic tracking behavior of the WPMC Behavior & Heatmap plugin, including which types of site content should be monitored.
Available options
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Tracking Status | Lets you enable or disable tracking for specific post types (e.g., Pages, Posts, or custom post types). If a post type is disabled here, no new heatmap or behavior data will be recorded for it. Existing data remains in the database. |
| Track Logged-in Users | Checkbox to include or exclude logged-in users from tracking. Disable if you want analytics to focus only on guests. |
How to use
- Go to the Settings tab in the plugin’s admin area.
- Under Tracking Status, check the boxes for the post types you want to track.
- Use Track Logged-in Users to decide whether logged-in members should be included in the reports.
- Click Save to apply changes.
Notes
- Disabling tracking for a post type will stop future data collection for that type but won’t remove past records.
- If you want to avoid recording your own work sessions, disable Track Logged-in Users or exclude your IP in advanced settings.
