The Heatmap and Behavior Details section is the core area of the plugin where you can explore how visitors interact with your site in depth.
Here, you can open any tracked page and review user actions through multiple visual and data-based tools.
Purpose
This is where you:
- See click distributions visually over your page layout.
- Inspect mouse movement heatmaps.
- Review referrers, session stats, and overview metrics.
- Switch between desktop and mobile modes for accurate behavior analysis.
Page structure
When you open a specific page from the Heatmap Page List, you land on its Details view.
This view contains a tabbed navigation (at the top) — each tab focuses on a different type of insight.
Tabs available in Details
From your plugin files, the main tabs are:
- Overview
Quick summary with total views, unique visitors, clicks, and key engagement metrics for the selected page. - Heatmap
Visual click overlay for desktop users. Shows exactly where people click and how frequently. - Heatmap (Mobile)
Same as above, but rendered for the mobile viewport. - Mouse Move
Movement heatmap — reveals where visitors move their mouse, hover, or focus attention. - Referrers
List of sources that brought visitors to this page, with counts.
How it fits into workflow
- You normally start in Heatmap Page List to choose a page.
- Clicking Details in that list opens this section, where you can move between tabs to get a complete behavioral picture for that page.
