Settings

The Settings tab lets you control the basic tracking behavior of the WPMC Behavior & Heatmap plugin, including which types of site content should be monitored.

Available options

SettingDescription
Tracking StatusLets you enable or disable tracking for specific post types (e.g., Pages, Posts, or custom post types). If a post type is disabled here, no new heatmap or behavior data will be recorded for it. Existing data remains in the database.
Track Logged-in UsersCheckbox to include or exclude logged-in users from tracking. Disable if you want analytics to focus only on guests.

How to use

  1. Go to the Settings tab in the plugin’s admin area.
  2. Under Tracking Status, check the boxes for the post types you want to track.
  3. Use Track Logged-in Users to decide whether logged-in members should be included in the reports.
  4. Click Save to apply changes.

Notes

  • Disabling tracking for a post type will stop future data collection for that type but won’t remove past records.
  • If you want to avoid recording your own work sessions, disable Track Logged-in Users or exclude your IP in advanced settings.
