Quick Start

Use this checklist to confirm the plugin is collecting data and showing useful reports.

1. Open Settings

1. Go to WP Admin -> WPMC Behavior & Heatmap -> Settings.
2. Confirm that Clicks Tracker (BH) is enabled.
3. Select the public post types you want to track, such as Pages, Posts, or public custom post types.
4. Add any office, developer, or test IPs to Excluded IPs if they should not be tracked.
5. Save settings.

2. Generate test activity

1. Open the frontend in an incognito or logged-out browser window.
2. Visit a tracked page and keep the tab visible for at least one second.
3. Click links, buttons, menu items, or CTAs.
4. Scroll the page past one or more scroll thresholds.
5. Leave the page so duration tracking can update.

3. Check reports

• Open Statistics for sessions, views, unique users, referrers, devices, and chart details.
• Open Heatmap Page List to find the page and compare views, unique users, click totals, navigation clicks, and CTA clicks.
• Open Details for a page to inspect heatmap, navigation, mouse movement, and referral source tabs.
• Open BH Heatmap if you want the iframe-based visual overlay shell.
